Illustrations
Tasia Graham is the illustrator for The Spirit Dog and has created brilliant colour illustrations and black-and-white illustrations throughout the book, picking out key moments or particular visual imagery.
Tasia worked closely with Steve Bonham, the author, and Christopher Lydon, the creative producer, to pick the moments, discuss what was key about the soon-to-be-created illustrations, decide if they were black-and-white or full colour, and then create the illustrations.

The steps along the journey
Here you can see "behind the curtains" - how we got there with some of our illustrations, and even some bits that had to be left out of the final book. With these, you can see Tasia has annotated them so that Steve and Chris can see her thinking behind the initial ideas. You can also see here an early version of the very front cover!
